The mobile diamond wire saw (short MDS) is a new development of the company Schwing, primarily designed for the natural stone industry for splitting raw blocks of any type of rock and cutting slabs directly in the mining area. The MDS brings the cutting quality of a stationary saw to the quarry. The saw unit can be swiveled in all degrees of freedom and adjusted continuously in the cutting width. This allows for a compact transport size of less than 3 m and a cutting capacity of up to 5 m by 3.4 m to be achieved.
